Volunteers participate in these dives to gather data for the Hood Canal Dissolved Oxygen Program. Divers measure species found in various depth zones and visually check stress in the critters found.
May 17th, 2007 - Sund Rock entry. We had a minus 3 tide today. It was a looong walk down to the water! Visibility was good until you hit about 25 feet, then down past 60 was this extremely thick layer of plankton. Once descended below 60 feet or so, viz opened up again, but it was pitch black down there.
