Washington Scuba Alliance coordinates these dives to gather data for the Hood Canal Dissolved Oxygen Program. Divers measure species found in various depth zones and visually check stress in the critters found.
Seven sites monitored regularly in the project are indicated on the map. (Although 8 sites are shown here, we have decided not to survey Octopus Hole as originally planned). In 2008 we whittled our list down to a select three sites: Pulali Point East, Elephant Wall and Sund Rock North Wall.
